I never actually blog...

but I'm going to start!!! And I'll tell you first that I'm going to dry-farm some tomatoes here in Pacifica. Dry-farming = not watering after the first time, when planting them. They have to send super-deep roots looking for groundwater, and take what they can from dew, etc. They get all scraggly and sad-looking and don't produce very many, but they are the most delicious tomatoes on earth, because they have very little water and thus are super concentrated in flavor. It works in Santa Cruz, Sonoma county, probably anywhere there is coastal fog flow. I'm hoping that the lack of water will make a delicious tomato in a place where it rarely gets over 75 degrees.
